Pleasant Hill, California FFL to Close

The owners of Pleasant Hill, Calif., firearms retailer Gun Works have said they will close their store this summer, reducing the number of gun sellers to four in the city that in late 2013 enacted its own ordinance regulating firearms retailers. Co-owners Mike Smith and Steve Rogge said their reasons for closing go beyond the ordinance but that uncertainties over its enforcement were a factor. The ordinance is being challenged in court by NSSF and City Arms East, an NSSF premium retailer member located in the city. Read a local news account.
