California Bill Penalizing Theft of Firearms Advances
The California Senate Public Safety Committee approved SB 452 by a 6-1 vote this week. SB 452 would return California’s penalty provisions relative to the theft of a firearm, or the knowing receipt of a stolen firearm, to the form in which they existed prior to the passage of Proposition 47. The theft of a firearm, or the knowing receipt of a stolen firearm, is a serious offense that should not be taken lightly. SB 452 now heads to the Senate Appropriations Committee.
